TERMS AND CONDITIONS

In terms of these “Terms and Conditions” it is accepted that Boardwalk CFC, DWB Restaurants (PTY) LTD and Square Time Café will be represented and seen as one and the same entity.

Boardwalk CFC will make every effort to let your conference be a success. In order to avoid confusion, misunderstanding or even unhappiness, the following terms and conditions apply:

1. Persons not involved in the final co-ordination meeting should not make verbal or unauthorized changes before or on the day of the function. Changes will only be accepted if in writing by an authorized person and agreed by the function co-coordinator.

2. Should the outstanding balance of the function not be paid within 7 days of the function, the function will automatically be cancelled. All other payments will be forfeited.

3. Please arrange decorating and storage of equipment well in advance as storage space may be limited due to other functions before and after your function

4. Florists and other decorating personnel must clean and finish their duties at least 3 hours prior to the function. If we need to clean after them a R300 cleaning fee will be added to your bill.

5. Candles must be placed in appropriate containers to prevent the wax from dripping onto linen, carpets and wooden floor. Any damages will be deducted from the breakage fee.

6. In the terms of the smoking law, no smoking is allowed inside the venue. Smoking is allowed on the outside patio.

7. No streamers are allowed

8. Non arrivals will not be credited. Changes for musicians and ministers will be the same as for guests.

9. No liquor or food leftovers may be taken home in “doggy bags” for all food and liquor must be consumed on the premises. This excludes wine and/or sparkling wine paid for in advance.

10. The venue will not necessarily be available the day before the function. If it is needed the day before an additional fee will be charged

11. Boardwalk CFC and DWB Restaurants (PTY) LTD or any of its employees do not accept any responsibility or liability for loss, damage or theft by whatsoever cause concerning any items brought into or left in the venue by anybody, or loss or injury to persons due to negligence or any other causes whatsoever to the property or life of the client or persons associated with the client.

12. The musicians and DJ’s used by the client must be licensed at SAMRO and we reserve the right to request the license number.

13. the client will be directly responsible and will be charged for breakages, loss, and damages regarding the property, venue, building, furniture, carpeting, wooden floor, curtains, cutlery, crockery, etc, caused by the client, guests, florists, disco entertainers or any person associated with the client.

14. Boardwalk CFC reserves the right to cancel any booking forth within the event of any damage or destruction of the venue by any cause, of due to shortage of labor, strike, industrial unrest, power failure, order or non approval by local authority, or any other cause beyond control of the management, or due to any Act of God, which shall prevent it from fulfilling its obligation. Boardwalk CFC does not accept responsibility or liability of any kind for loss or inconvenience of any nature due to the above causes.

15. All guests must park within designated parking areas.

16. Boardwalk CFC reserves the right to close the bar, stop the musical arrangements, cut of the power supply or even end the proceedings altogether, at any given time or for any duration of time or for any reason that may, in its sole discretion, be harmful to the staff, guests, or property.

17. I, by my signature hereto, agree to bind myself as surety for all amounts due or that become due and owing by the client to Boardwalk CFC from time to time or during the duration of this contract.

18. No provisional bookings will be allowed.

19. The payment of the venue cost secures the booking and is non refundable an event of cancellation.

20. The venue hire may be extended after 24H00 at and additional charge of R500 an hour
